Q10 Fluoride Toothpaste is specially formulated to keep teeth and gums healthy. It contains co-enzyme Q10. Q10 Fluoride Toothpaste helps maintain the level of Q10 found in healthy teeth pockets. Developed as an aid to increasing the amount of co-enzyme Q10 in the gums of patients with gum disease.
Brushing with Q10 toothpaste can help restore the natural balance of micro-organisms present in the mouth, which helps to maintain healthy gums.
What does Coenzyme Q10 do?
Coenzyme Q10 is an essential cofactor of enzymes involved in the energy production process. Coenzyme Q10 is stored in mitochondria, structures found within cells responsible for the generation of energy (in the form of a molecule called ATP). Tissues with a high-energy requirement (heart, liver, skeletal muscles) contain higher numbers of mitochondria within their cells. Coenzyme Q10 is also important within the body as a major fat-soluble antioxidant, protecting cell membranes from the damaging effects of free radicals (which has been implicated in the pathogenesis of many diseases), in a complementary manner to vitamin E. Coenzyme Q10 promotes normal cardiovascular function, and normal immune function (cells involved in immune response have a high energy dependence). Coenzyme Q10 inhibits the development of periodontal disease, and pathological changes associated with aging.
How much Coenzyme Q10 should you take?
The generally recommended intake for coenzyme Q10 is 30 to 100mg/day, taken in split doses (e.g. morning and evening) with meals, to enhance absorption. Coenzyme Q10 is routinely prescribed for the treatment of heart disease in many countries, including Italy, Scandinavia, Japan and Canada.
Are there adverse effects from taking Coenzyme Q10?
Coenzyme Q10 is generally well tolerated, with no serious adverse effects reported in long term use. Very rarely, individuals may experience gastrointestinal disturbance. There are no known toxic effects, and coenzyme Q10 cannot be overdosed. Coenzyme Q10 is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women, in whom the effects of coenzyme Q10 have not been extensively studied. No significant interference of coenzyme Q10 with other drugs has been reported.
INGREDIENTS FOR Pharma Nord Q10 Toothpaste with fluoride:
• Each tube of Pharma-Nord Zymbion Q10 toothpaste contains 75ml, with a coenzyme Q10 content equivalent to 0.5%.
• Fluoride content of sodium monoflurophosphate is equivalent to 0.9% (1500ppm).

DIRECTIONS FOR USE OF Pharma Nord Q10 Toothpaste with fluoride:
• It recommends brushing teeth twice daily with Q10 toothpaste.
• For maximum benefit, the mouth should not be rinsed after brushing.
